Privacy policy

MonkeyPen (monkeypen.ai) is run by Worth A Try LLC. This page explains what we keep, why, and how to delete it. Questions go to support@worthatry.co.

What we keep

• Your account: the name, email address and profile photo Google shares when you sign in, and your plan.
• Your voices: the writing you paste, upload or import, your answers to the style questions, and a list of where it came from. Files are read in your browser; only the text is kept.
• Your history: what you asked for and what MonkeyPen wrote, with its sounds-like-you score.
• How many writes you’ve used this month, and basic request data (IP address, browser, time) to stop abuse.
• Which features you use (for example: signed up, saved a voice, wrote something, its score, asked to hear when a plan opens), so we can see what works. This doesn’t include the text you write.

One cookie keeps you signed in, for up to 30 days. We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t sell your information. We keep your data until you delete it or your account.

Your writing is never used to train AI

When you write, your voice and request go to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the text. Anthropic doesn’t use what we send through its API to train its models, and neither do we.

Who processes it

• Anthropic writes the text.
• Vercel hosts the site and app; the database is Postgres from Vercel’s storage (Neon).
• Google handles sign-in.
• Stripe handles payments. We keep your Stripe customer ID and plan, never your card details.

Deleting it

You can delete any voice or anything in your history from the app at any time, and it’s gone from our database. To delete your whole account, use Delete account on the Plan page: it removes your account, voices, history and usage records at once. You can also email support@worthatry.co from the address you signed in with.

The free style analyzer

The writing style analyzer on our site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste there is sent to us.

Children

MonkeyPen isn’t meant for children under 13.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
