MonkeyPen is operated by Worth A Try LLC. This page covers monkeypen.ai, the website. The iPhone app has its own policy inside the app.

The short version

You paste text. We send it to Google’s Gemini API to be rewritten, and send the rewrite back to your browser. We do not save your text, we do not have an account system on this website, and we do not sell anything to anybody.

The text you paste

• It is sent to a third party to be processed. The rewriting is done by Google’s Gemini API. Your text is transmitted to Google’s servers to produce the rewrite. Google’s handling of API data is governed by their own terms; we do not control it.
• We do not store it. Our server receives your text, forwards it, returns the rewrite, and keeps no copy. There is no database of drafts on this site.
• Do not paste secrets. Passwords, card numbers, medical records, anything covered by a confidentiality obligation you have to someone else — do not put them in. This is true of every online rewriting tool, ours included.

What we do keep

• A rate-limit counter. To stop the tool being used as a free proxy, our server counts how many rewrites have come from your IP address today. That is a number in memory, held for the day, not a log of what you wrote.
• Server error logs. When a request fails, the error is logged so we can fix it. These may include an HTTP status code and a truncated error message from the API. They are not intended to contain your text and we do not log it deliberately.

Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics may be enabled on this site. It is cookieless and aggregate — page views and referrers, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profile, no personal identifiers.

Payments

If and when checkout is live, payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. On the current deployment checkout runs in Stripe’s test mode, so no real payment is taken at all.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own.

Your rights

There is no account, so there is generally no personal data of yours for us to export or delete. If you believe we hold something about you and want it gone, email support@worthatry.co and we will deal with it.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13.
