Terms of use

These terms cover your use of monkeypen.ai and the rewriting tool on it. The site is operated by Worth A Try LLC. If you do not agree with them, do not use the tool.
In short
You own your text and your rewrite. We rewrite what you give us and keep the facts, but we do not guarantee the result, and reading it before you send it is your job. Do not use this to deceive anyone or to break someone else’s rules.
Your text and your rewrite
- You keep your input. Pasting text here gives us no ownership of it. We use it only to produce your rewrite (see the privacy policy).
- The output is yours to use. We claim no rights in the rewrite.
- You are responsible for it. You are the author of whatever you send on. If the rewrite says something you did not mean, that is why you read it first.
What we do not promise
- No guarantee of quality, tone or outcome. It is a language model. Some rewrites will be worse than your draft. Use the ones that are better.
- No guarantee about anyone’s reaction. Nothing here promises a reply, an interview, a sale, a grade or any other result.
- We do not make claims about automated writing checkers. MonkeyPen is not designed or sold as a way to get text past detection software, and we make no representation about how any such tool will classify your text.
- Availability. The free tier is a limited number of rewrites per day and can change. The service is provided as-is, without warranties, and may be unavailable at times.
Acceptable use
You must not use MonkeyPen to:
- Present work as your own where you are required not to — an assignment, examination or application whose rules you would be breaking. Where you are editing your own writing for clarity, that is exactly what this is for.
- Impersonate a real person or organisation, or produce content designed to deceive someone about who wrote it or who they are dealing with.
- Produce spam, harassment, or content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or ours.
- Automate, scrape or resell access to the tool, or attempt to work around the rate limit.
We can restrict access if the service is being abused.
Subscriptions
MonkeyPen Pro is billed monthly or yearly at the price shown on the pricing page and renews until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the period you have paid for; we do not refund part-periods. Subscriptions bought inside the iPhone app are managed by Apple and governed by Apple’s terms, and are cancelled through your App Store settings. On the current web deployment, checkout runs in Stripe test mode and takes no money.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Worth A Try LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.
Changes
