The honest version

You probably do not need Pro. 5 rewrites a day covers a job hunt, a week of client emails or a batch of product descriptions. Use the free tier until it genuinely gets in your way.
The free tier is per IP, not per person. On shared office wifi you may hit the limit sooner than you expect. That is a crude defence against abuse rather than a sales tactic.
Nothing you paste is stored. Your text goes to the model, the rewrite comes back to your browser, and there is no account for it to be attached to.
It is the same price as the app on purpose. $5/month or $40/year is what MonkeyPen has always cost on iPhone. The web is not a different product.
